Welcome
You have reached a place blessed with extraordinary beauty. Here you will find calm and serenity, nature’s beauty at its purest form, and, last but not least, our traditional, rich cuisine that you will only find here in the Apuseni Mountains. Due to the reasonable distances to the county’s show places, the LUTRANSIL boarding-house is a good initial point for those who want to discover the Hunedoara County.
The boarding-house is situated at 30 km from Deva and 180 km from Oradea (Bihor County), therefore it is an ideal solution for all the groups transiting the DN 76 / E 79 route. Lutransil is a 2 daisies classified boarding house.
Walking through the Zarand Country
Our boarding house is situated in the Luncoiu de Sus village, Hunedoara County, Romania, in the south of the Apuseni Carpathians, at an altitude of 500 m. It is surrounded by beautiful scenery: hills, forests and a little lake. Here, in this area, lies a magical realm, full of history, myths and legends: the Zarand Country. Land of heroes, like Horea, Closca and Crisan, or Avram Iancu, king of the Moti people, the Zarand Country, this small region of the great Apuseni Mountains, is today a pilgrimage place for every true Romanian. It is a place filled with history, where people religiously preserve their traditions, folk customs and their authentic Romanian spirit. The famous Gold Museum in Brad or Horea’s mighty Durmast in Tebea are only a few minutes away from Lutransil. It is worth mentioning that the Hunedoara County is the cradle of the Romanian civilization. In this region, Decebal, the Dacian king, surrendered in front of the roman emperor Traian, in 106 A.D. Also, in this County is found the Roman capital of the Dacia Province, Sarmizegetusa, at 100 km from the boarding house. But there are lots of other things to see in those 100 km….
So, whatever you want to see, wherever you want to go, we will help you and guide you for free. And, if you are visiting us from abroad, we ensure translation in English, French and Hungarian.
We speak English, French and of course Romanian.
